Curiosity begins
School completed. YouTube and digital tools opened a new world.
A phone. The internet. A desire to understand.
My journey into technology did not begin with a computer science degree or expensive equipment. It began with questions—and the willingness to keep learning.

I’m Juma Wycliffe, founder of Xdigitex. Sometimes I still sit and wonder what technology and the internet are really capable of. Every answer opens another question, and that curiosity keeps me building.
After completing Form Four in May 2022, I wanted to become a content creator. I experimented with YouTube and digital tools. My channel reached around 1,000 subscribers at that stage, but putting myself out there was difficult. I struggled with confidence and wanted to explore more deeply how the internet worked.
In January 2023, I decided to take technology seriously. I taught myself through YouTube tutorials, online resources and experimentation. Much of my learning and practice happened on my smartphone.
At university, I pursued a Bachelor of Education (Arts), specializing in Geography and Kiswahili. I loved education, while technology offered another way to explore ideas, solve problems and create opportunities.
In 2023, I became involved in an early project with Codebrew, a London-based company. We could not agree on partnership terms, so the project did not reach completion. The experience taught me that an unfinished opportunity can still be a useful lesson.
I kept learning, experimenting and building. Rather than wait for an opportunity, I began creating systems for challenges I encountered in everyday life. By 2024, my technical skills had grown and I began working with international clients.
AI later helped me explore bigger ideas and develop software faster. It did not replace learning: it gave me another tool for understanding problems, testing solutions and making useful things.
Today, Xdigitex brings together AI agents, automation, SaaS, payment infrastructure, hosting and business software. Behind every project is the same curiosity. I build because I want to understand more—and I am still learning.
I didn’t wait to become an expert before I started building. I started building so I could learn.
School completed. YouTube and digital tools opened a new world.
Self-taught learning, smartphone practice and an early international project.
Stronger skills, useful software and international client work.
Ideas grew into products, automation and business platforms.
AI agents, payments, hosting and software built around real needs.
More questions to explore. More useful things to build.
Creating content helped me discover digital tools and the possibilities of the internet. It remains part of my learning journey.
